FAQ
What makes MMAMPC different than other counseling practices?
We provide comprehensive counseling services that go beyond the surface, offering specialized mental performance counseling for athletes both on and off the field. Our expertise lies in guiding clients through life’s challenging transitions, whether it’s coping with a career-ending sports injury, navigating a divorce or separation, or finding a new sense of purpose after retiring from athletics. At Maryland Mindfulness and Mental Performance Counseling, LLC, we are committed to helping you heal, adapt, and move forward with confidence.
Who can be a client at MMAMPC?
MMAMPC supports the general population, as well as both professional and collegiate athletes. It is our goal to help clients work through mental health challenges and overcome mental performance barriers that impact all areas of one’s life. You don’t have to be an athlete to seek support at MMAMPC. Whether you’re seeking deeper self-understanding, support for a specific challenge, or guidance in managing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, MMAMPC is here for you. We welcome clients ages 10 and up.
Does MMAMPC accept insurance?
Currently, we are in the process of being paneled by insurance. With that said, right now we cannot accept insurance, but hopefully soon we will be able to.
Where are your sessions?
Sessions are held virtually. This is exciting because it means MMAMPC can have clients from all over Maryland, and not just confined to an office that clients go to.
How long are sessions?
Your first session (the intake session) will most likely take an hour. Typically, a regular session is 45 minutes. However, depending on needs and appointment type, sessions may increase to an hour.
